I’ve finally accepted that pumpkin season is upon us (thanks, Pinterest) and had my first pumpkin craving this morning! Until today I thought I was burnt out on pumpkin and just not going to get into it this season. But as it turns out, you can’t look at 500 pictures of pumpkins without eventually craving the stuff!

Smoothies might just be the easiest way to consume pumpkin, and in my opinion, one of the most delicious. It’s like healthy pumpkin pie in a cup. And I think we all appreciate smoothies that taste like dessert, amiright?!

Pumpkin Spice Smoothie

1/4 cup pumpkin puree
1 tbsp maple syrup (or agave)
1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1 cup almond milk
1/2 cup old fashioned oats
1 small frozen banana
Dash of nutmeg
Dash of cinnamon

Add ingredients, blend! Sprinkle with an extra dash of cinnamon if you’re so inclined.
Tip: The oats make this smoothie thicker and more filling. Soak them in the milk overnight for a less gritty texture. But honestly- the texture is kinda fun!
