Coconut Coffee Anti-Cellulite Scrub

coconut coffee scrub ingredients diy

This DIY body scrub is a natural (and cheap!) remedy for cellulite and soft, smooth skin. The coffee grinds and sugar act as natural exfoliants, the coconut oil replenishes moisture back into the skin, and the caffeine stimulates blood flow to minimize the appearance of dimples. Caffeine is used in most cellulite solutions to boost blood flow to smooth and tighten skin, and while it only provides short term results like every other topical cellulite remedy, it actually does make a noticeable difference right away!

But that’s all just icing on the cake, because the real deal with this natural body scrub is that it smells intoxicating. Coffee and coconuts? Don’t think it can get any more delicious.

Coconut Coffee Anti-Cellulite Scrub
INGREDIENTS
1 cup coffee grinds, used or unused
1/2 cup coconut oil, melted and cooled
1/4 cup sugar

DIRECTIONS:
In a bowl, mix all ingredients until the the texture becomes pasty and scrub-like. If necessary, add more of any ingredient until you reach desired consistency. Transfer to an air-tight jar or container, and enjoy!

PS- If you get some cute packaging going, this scrub makes a great DIY gift!

Do you have to keep it refrigerated? Does it have a good shelf life?

    • Hi Gwen! I don’t keep mine refrigerated, and I end up using mine within a few days, so I’m not sure how long they can actually last. Keep it sealed airtight in the fridge though and it should be good for a while!

Thanks!!! I used it yesterday and I couldn’t believe how amazing my skin felt!!! I was even hiking up the gouchos so the hubby could feel the difference in my legs. LOL!! I have VERY dry skin due to not being good with using lotion (too time consuming) and so I was REALLY impressed with this scrub and how I felt SO good :)

Does it work well on stretch marks? I know coconut oil is great to use but wasn’t sure if this could work or not…

  5. Christaly says:

Stretch marks never really go away they sort of just fade out on their own. The best you can do is stay hydrated to prevent new ones. I use coffee scrubs on mine and I can’t promise they’ll go away but it will help fade and give you really smooth skin as a plus. ^^
