LuckyFABB 2014 Recap

WHAT. A. WEEKEND! My usual “Week Notes” just ain’t gonna cut it this time around.

First, let me take a selfie start by recapping my awesome time at the LuckyFABB Fashion and Beauty Bloggers Conference. I was thrilled to receive an invite this year and so so excited to spend the weekend meeting tons of amazing fellow bloggers, getting inspired by fabulous speakers, celebrating the power of blogging as an industry, and completely indulging my girly girl side!

Lizbeth (my blogger boo at IMLVH) and I started the early day with a pit stop for caffeine (all hail the almond milk spanish granita) and simple eggs + avocado to go from Urth before grabbing our badges and heading in. There was so much excitement in the air! Hallie Wilson wrote a great little summary with “The Ten Best Quotes From LuckyFABB” you’ll want to check out, but my favorite speakers outside of the break-out sessions were Nicole Richie (prettttty sure I made eye contact), GirlBoss Sophia Amoruso, who shared a lot that really resonated with me, and inspirational Coco Rocha who was hilarious but also touched on some really important stuff, like taking a stand for what you believe in and using the influence you have behind your keyboard to make change for the better.

Breaking up the long day were fun breaks where we were able to check out cool new brands, take pictures and mingle, and I even got mah nails did!

The SLS Beverly Hills Hotel is gorgeously funky, and of course it wouldn’t be a true LA experience without the food. There were drinks a plenty (cocktails with Pressed Juicery and the cutest mini champagne bottles) as well as a fresh, hearty lunch and tasty snacks throughout. Heirloom tomato salad? Check. Gold leaf pot du creme? Double check.

The conference concluded on Day Two with a sunny brunch party full of fresh flowers, grapefruit mimosas, and of course tons of killer outfits. Topping off the amazing weekend, we headed home with Kate Spade Saturday swag bags that were literally overflowing with goodies. Some of my favorites were the Bliss pout-o-matic lip system, Butter London polish, La Mer wrap watch and quite a few gift cards. Although I don’t classify myself as a fashion blogger and some designer references went completely over my head, I’d suggest LuckyFABB for all blogger babes who are interested in networking, perfecting your craft, getting inspired, and having an awesome time.
