I’ve got a full post on all of my latest natural beauty essentials coming atcha next week, but until then- a peek into my every day makeup bag:
You’ll notice my makeup bag is currently dominated by W3ll People, and for good reason! (This is not a sponsored post, I’m just seriously obsessed). W3ll People makes the ultimate toxin-free, “eco-luxe” cosmetics, crafted in small batches with 100% premium natural and organic ingredients. Designed specifically for the modern woman who demands authenticity, simplicity, and quality—but is not willing to compromise on convenience and performance, their motto, “Hippie Tested. Diva Approved.” sums it up perfectly! And while this kind of makeup is often budget busting, W3ll People is priced about the same (or even less!) than it’s chemical-laden department store counterparts.
I was lucky enough to have one of the awesome founders, Shirley Pinkson, give me a little make-over at The Chalkboard Mag‘s Supernatural Sessions, and she selected the best products and colors for my complexion. There’s something about getting your makeup done by another person that feels so comforting and uplifting! Better yet- my face not only looked great, but felt great. This stuff is so light and fresh! No selfies for ya, but here’s a pic of Lizbeth and I (with Nancy from Briogeo, my favorite hair line!) right after:
I’ve even been breaking out lately (still getting to the root of the issue: hormones, stress, diet, allergies, candida, combo?!) and despite the mess that has become my face these products make my skin absolutely glow. After just a few days of using W3ll People my face has already started clearing up. I’m sure it helps that everything is free of artificial preservatives, parabens, chemicals, dyes, fragrance, silicone, dimethicone, pthalates, sulphates, petroleum, talc, bismuth oxychloride, nanoparticles and bad mojo.
Alright, alright (alright!). Here’s what’s in my makeup bag and on my face these days:
Arcona Rozone 40. Healthy daily SPF for the face made with titanium dioxide and zinc oxide, but wears super super light and is lightly tinted!
Altruist Satin Mineral Foundation. Recommended for balancing my skin, which tends to be oily in the t-zone but dry everywhere else. It really moves and breathes with the skin, and the coverage lasts all day!
Hedonist Luminous Mineral Bronzer. Warms up the complexion, is a perfect mix of matte and shimmer. Shirley’s tip was to apply this to the lid as well!
Elitist Mineral Shadow in Luminous Copper and Golden Mocha. This combo makes green eyes POP.
The Expressionist Bio Extreme Mascara. They spent 5 years creating the perfect formula, and you can tell! Unlike most natural mascaras I’ve tried, this doesn’t flake off or transfer half way through the day, but is still easy to remove.
Know of any other natural makeup I should try?!
