Week Notes

This week will forever be known as- the week I FINALLY GOT A WETSUIT! [insert praise hands emojis]. It sure took a while (especially considering the fact that Gavin buys wetsuits for a living) but I’m so so excited!

If I’m being honest, after a weekend spent vacaying and getting creatively inspired with so many talented girls it was a little rough getting back into routine on Monday. And Tuesday. But I finally crept out of my funk on Wednesday and reminded myself that attitude is everything. After that the rest of the week flew by happily into a beautiful weekend!

Friday night we went out for sushi with friends and ended the night at Barrel Republic, this awesome new place where you get a bracelet tag linked up to your card and pour your own draft beer- like frozen yogurt! I ended up trying a few sips each of all kinds of different beer, so it was really fun. Saturday morning we went for a walk, tried a new coffee place, brunched it out and hit the beach. I ended up tanning and catching up with Jules while the boys surfed instead of breaking out the suit, but it’ll get wet this week!

My mom and brother came down for the weekend and it was so great to see Reid after being gone for five months in Germany! I’ll be sharing some of his tales and travel tips soon. We went to Brigantine for dinner on Saturday and had fun spoiling my mom on Mother’s Day. After they took off to head home it was so nice to just lounge inside my place with the sliding door open, finishing up magazines and listening to the wind in the trees. Sunday evenings can be so peaceful, and I realized this was my first weekend being home in over a month!
