Week Notes: August 31

So much beach this week. Mainly running and reading. And with perfect playlists and cotton candy sunsets, why not?

Although I tend to keep things happy and positive, I’ve actually been dealing with more spurts of anxiety than usual lately. (Possibly induced by excessive & addicting cold brew coffee). But at the same time, I also feel like it’s getting easier to manage. I’ve been really focusing on trying not to fixate on anything, and just go with the flow. Keeping everything in perspective, and feeling so comforted by friends, the beach, and music.

Just a glimpse into the past week:

Pomegranate tree is getting heavy…might be time to start looking up recipes!

Happy Hour Made Healthy at Duck Dive (stay tuned for recap!)

Trying out Glass Dharma straws with a refreshing green drank. More to come on these awesome eco-friendly straws, but I swear they make your smoothies taste better!

Aftermath of 80’s Dance Night.

Saturday I met up with a few friends for the first ever La Jolla Fitness Crawl supporting the Challenged Athletes Foundation. Don’t let the name fool you, this was no crawl. It was a race! We had two awesome, encouraging ladies join our team and ended up finishing in 3rd place! Was a fun day sprinting between studios and getting mini workouts at Fitwall, Barre 59, Spark Cycle, Revolution Fitness and Armone’s Core Connection. By the time we made it back nice and sweaty we were so ready to devour healthy snacks from Whole Foods and drinks from Nektar.

Getting ready to plant these pretty little seeds I was gifted. Although physically exhausted, Saturday evening I caught up with two friends for happy hour and enjoyed a much needed girls night! Sunday was spent playing catch up, relaxing, and prepping for an epic fiesta with friends. Here’s to September!
