Week Notes: October 5th

My heart is so full from a beyond epic weekend in Mammoth with some of my best friends. Perfect days that started with champagne outside, hiking, picnics by the lake, KFM hot tub sessions, and somehow eased into crazy, hilarious nights. And hey, the rest of the week wasn’t too shabby either.

A peek into the week:

I excitedly pre-ordered Lena Dunham’s book that just released. Despite a busy week I couldn’t resist getting a few chapters in!

Happy Birthday to my amazing, wonderful Mom! Before her weekend full of pampering and relaxation in San Diego (without me!), we got to celebrate with dinner together at Seasons 52. Very likely the best scallops I’ve ever eaten.

Playing dress up with Halfsies near abandoned buildings and churches on the road to Mammoth. Stay tuned for some Free People inspired style posts on their blog soon!

Relaxing in the warm sun, breathing in the crisp mountain air, and wining it up in the backyard within an hour of arriving set the tone for an awesome weekend. (May or may not have been followed by some running and dancing on the golf course while waiting for the final two girls to arrive).

Earning our beers and picnic lunch after a breathtaking (literally and figuratively) hike near Lake George and Crystal Lake before making our descent back down the trail.

Beer tasting at Mammoth Brewing Co. followed by a fun dinner at Mammoth Tavern before the night progressed into an epic one for the books. (Photos of which will remain offline 😛 ).

Happy, happy Birthday Eryn! Thanks for an awesome (non-basic) weekend celebration of #birthdayvibes and friendship! Good vibes going into this new week.

What were your week highlights? Have you ever been to Mammoth?!

Looks like a fun trip! I think Coors Light should definitely be a post hike staple.
