Week Notes: October 19


Such a full and happy week focused on relationships, connections, and just doing what feels good. A comfortable “real talk” conversation on Monday set the feel-good tone for the rest of the week. Tuesday was a planned girls night with dinner and a movie (finally got to see Gone Girl!). I read the book over two years ago now so completely forgot the ending, which made it fun. Wednesday, I stole my favorite pup for a walk and grabbed a spontaneous dinner with Ashleigh. Looks like we have a new place to throw into our rotation (which previous only consisted of Bier Garden, haha). Despite my hefty to-do list, I went home feeling peaceful and decided to just give in to what my body and mind were craving…relaxation. Thursday night I caught up and got ready with a few girlfriends before heading out to Belly Up and getting a little dancey.

Friday, a close friend had planned a Girls Yoga Night VIP Party in celebration of the #GirlGetOutside movement, which inspires women to get outside and active every day to find bliss & adventure. Hosted at Mantra Yoga, we started with a yoga class followed by fresh green juice, Mozy’s burritos (yumm), DIY flower crowns, Beyond Yoga photo booth, and just hanging out. So much great energy and such rad, beautiful ladies! Props to Chelsea for pulling the whole night (and some awesome gift bags) all together. Be sure to check out #GirlGetOutside on Insta for some major inspiration, and join in too! After the yoga night, we got a solid girl gang together and went out in Encinitas.



Saturday I “slept in” and woke up in the best mood. It was such a gorgeous sunny day in Cardiff and with no real plans or obligations, my heart was bursting with happiness and I couldn’t help feeling so lucky and grateful. I did a little cleaning, ate a lot of fresh coconut and watermelon, and hit the beach for the rest of the day!


Finally, Sunday I completed some to-do list items in the morning before grabbing lunch with Kelli (the healthy happster!). I meant to keep the productive train rolling through the rest of the afternoon, but it turns out I can’t say no to grabbing a drink these days (particularly at Bier Garden). I did end up getting groceries later (and three bundles of fresh flowers on sale…woot).


Just like friends old and new, this week was good for my soul. And I’ve got another one ahead!

  1. I went hiking with my dog and enjoyed the fall foliage. It was a day of quietness and my soul really felt refreshed after that. :)
