Week Notes: March 22nd

Brentwood Cafe

Crazy little week! After a slower paced Monday, the week progressively became more busy and hectic until we were going non-stop. A lazy neighborhood dog walk/catch up sesh and a taco night helped keep the mid-week stress levels down.

Monica and I headed up to LA for the weekend to spend all of Saturday at Create & Cultivate. Everything— but really, everything— was instagram-worthy. All of the perfect little touches (and unlimited Blue Bottle Coffee) made a long, over 12 hour day pass by in a whirlwind of prettiness. We ended the day delirious, exhausted, sore and inspired. Pulling together a little recap for later this week, so keep yer eye out.

I spent the rest of the weekend with dear friends, living spontaneously between drop-offs and pick-ups like a hobo bag lady. There’s something kind of (ironically) liberating about having to rely on others for transportation. Long dinners over good conversation, rooftop drinks, late-night tea parties at Urth, and just hangin’ in a different scene left me feeling recharged, lucky, and loved.

Sunday we headed to Cafe Brentwood for brunch— where I had no trouble polishing off my omelette, smashed potato, and homemade bread & jams. (Don’t miss the jam!). Eventually I got dropped at Union Station and finally let the weekend’s exhaustion settle in on the train home.

Although I always feel grateful ending the week, this one I felt especially so. Lucky to enjoy my work, be given so many opportunities, and have such beautiful, caring friends. On that note….how is March already almost over?!

Let's Talk!
